Jobs Manual

Getting started

Open the Jobs Menu

Use /jobs to open the main Jobs menu. From there you can view the server's jobs, join or leave jobs, check payout information, claim rewards, and open job quests.

The /jobs menu shows the six current jobs: Woodcutter, Miner, Farmer, Ranger, Artisan, and Builder.
Current jobs: Woodcutter, Miner, Farmer, Ranger, Artisan, and Builder. For most new players, the best first jobs on LoungeSMP are Miner, Builder, and Ranger because they match common early-game actions.

Commands

/jobsOpens the main Jobs menu.
Job slots

Join or Leave Jobs

You can have up to 3 jobs at the same time. Leaving a job frees up a job slot and does not make you lose your progress or rewards.

Pick a job from /jobs to join it. If you need a different setup later, leave a job and choose another.
1
Open /jobsStart from the Jobs menu whenever you want to manage your jobs.
2
Choose a jobSelect the job you want to join. You can hold up to 3 jobs at once.
3
Leave when neededLeaving is safe for your progress and rewards, so you can adjust your job setup later.
Money and XP

Check Job Payouts

Each job has payout information that shows what actions give money and job XP. The Woodcutter payout screen is a good example: it lists actions and the money or XP earned for doing them while you have that job.

The payout screen explains which actions level the job and how much money or XP those actions give.
Payout actions are the main source of job leveling and job money. If you are not sure why a job is paying or not paying, check its payout information first.
Level rewards

Claim Skill Tree Rewards

As you earn job XP, your job level increases. Each job has a skill tree with rewards you can claim as you reach new levels.

Level up by doing payout actions, then return to the skill tree to claim unlocked rewards.
1
Earn job XPDo the actions listed in that job's payout information.
2
Open the skill treeUse the Jobs menu to view the job's level path.
3
Claim unlocked rewardsWhen you reach a reward level, claim it from the skill tree.
Reward types

Know What Jobs Can Reward

Jobs can reward more than money. Leveling can unlock money, elytras, crate keys, custom tags, and other useful rewards depending on the job and level.

Check reward previews before choosing which job to level first.
Reward availability may vary by job and level. Check the in-game menu for the exact current rewards.
Timed objectives

Complete Job Quests

Job quests are specific objectives tied to your job. They are another way to earn money, job XP, and crate keys, and you can reroll up to two quests per day.

Job quests reset every 24 hours at midnight EST. You can reroll up to two quests per day.
Quests are specific to the job you are viewing, so check each job separately.
You can reroll up to two quests per day if you get objectives you do not want to complete.
Some quests take more effort than normal payout actions, but they can be very lucrative.
